Frequently Asked Questions

What ages do you accept?

Berry Patch Farm School welcomes children ages 2–5 years. Children do not need to be fully potty-learned.

When does the program run?

We meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm during the school year (September through May).

Is Berry Patch Farm School licensed?

No, we are not licensed. We currently operate under Minnesota's exemption for non-licensed care for up to one additional family. We are working on obtaining our licensure. Once obtained we will be able to accept more families, provide meals, and extend hours.

What is the tuition and how is payment handled?

Tuition is $320/month per child. We accept cash or check only. Tuition is fixed regardless of absences or holidays.

What does my child need to bring?

We’ll send a packing list, but expect to bring sturdy boots, a change of clothes, a small water bottle, and weather-appropriate layers. All garden tools and supplies are provided, along with a healthy snack.

Will my child get dirty?

Yes — and that's the point! We believe in the magic of mud, puddles, plants, and bugs. Please dress your child accordingly for joyful, messy learning. We strive to frequently use extra changes of clothing.

Does each child get their own garden?

Yes! Each Little Farmer will care for their own raised garden bed in the orchard. We’ll learn how to plant, weed, harvest, and share what we grow.

How do I enroll?

Visit our Enrollment page to learn more and fill out a registration form. We’re currently accepting one new family for Fall 2025.
